Anyone can browse the public sites on Wikidot, such as this site, without being registered with Wikidot. Members of the Club's Committee are invited to join Wikidot so that they can contribute to this site. It may be possible to extend this facility in future to allow any of the Club's members to contribute, e.g. input to a discussion page.
How to join Wikidot
If you are not yet registered with Wikidot, then you can register by clicking on the 'Sign in' link in the top-right corner of this page, and choose 'Create an account'. You will need to choose a username and a password, and to give your email address. Wikidot will then send you an email to confirm your email address details. Click on the supplied link to confirm receipt of this email - this verifies your email address. You will then be a registered Wikidot user. However, you will also need to join the RivermeadBadminton website on Wikidot before you can contribute to it.
How to join the RivermeadBadminton website
First, you must already be a registered Wikidot user - see the preceding section on joining as a registered user. If you have not already signed-in, click on 'Sign In' at the top-right of this page. Then click on 'Join This Wiki' under the list of actions on the left-hand side. This will send a request to join the RivermeadBadminton site to one of our organisers who look after this site. These requests are generally approved fairly quickly, normally within a few days or so.
As soon as your request has been approved, you will be an Editor - able to amend/contribute content to this site. You will have all the usual browse facilities that any guest user has, but you are now also permitted to add or correct information on any of the unlocked pages. Your username will be recorded against any changes you make to the site (or to any other Wikidot sites) but your email address will not be divulged by Wikidot. The Club will not divulge any editor's personal details.

How to update an existing webpage
Not every page can be updated - if not, the 'Edit' button may not be displayed, or may be replaced by 'Page locked'.
In order to add or correct information on a particular page, click on the 'Edit' button at the bottom of the screen. You can then make changes directly onto the webpage, but remember to save your changes before you sign out. Please note that your changes are identified as coming from your registered username and that all edits remain visible in the audit trail forever. Any inappropriate edits can and will be quickly reverted. Persistent offenders can be removed from Wikidot.
